Dr. Chernoff has treated and repaired extremely complex dog bites. Bites to the face can be devastating for both adults and children. When needed, Dr. Chernoff will use advanced skin flap techniques to surgically repair the damaged or missing tissue. Where will the treatment be performed?
The location of treatment or procedure will be based on the type and severity of the injury. Some care can be performed in our office sterile procedure room. For more complicated cases, it is performed at our outpatient surgery center. Dr. Chernoff has been granted permission to perform emergency procedures like this in the surgery center – it is not a hospital-based surgery center; however, elective procedures have been required to stop. This is not considered elective if it’s an injury.
How will I know what my treatment will cost?
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, your first consultation will be virtual to determine if Dr. Chernoff can help you with your injury. During your virtual consultation, we will access your case, provide a cost estimate for your treatment, and you can decide if you would like to proceed with treatment.
