Dr. Gregory Chernoff is a plastic surgeon with offices in California and Indiana. He has the rare distinction of being triple board-certified, which means that he has earned certifications from three regulating medical authorities. To accomplish that feat, he has taken and passed examinations administered by The American Board of Facial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. In order to keep his certifications and stay abreast of new technologies and procedures, he completes an average of 100 hours of continuing education every year.
Dr. Chernoff began his medical education by earning a BS in Anatomy at Canada’s University of Saskatchewan. After finishing medical school, he served a five-year residency that specialized in Otolaryngology. During this period, he saw the horrific effects of cancer and was thus inspired to concentrate on reconstructive surgery. To that end, he pursued three fellowships devoted to reconstructive surgery of the face.
Dr. Chernoff has since become known for his pioneering techniques in laser therapy. He was one of the first researchers to write a paper about CO2 laser resurfacing. He has also conducted research for stem cell therapy, injectable fibroblast, ultrasound, radiofrequency and cosmetic laser companies. He has written chapters for medical textbooks and a variety of scientific research papers. He has given over 700 lectures about surgical and non-surgical laser therapy to physicians around the world.

Instead of packing the nose with gauze to hold everything in place, he will cover it with a flesh-colored fiberglass splint that the patient will wear for ten days. Dr. Chernoff will use similar techniques when performing a septoplasty, a procedure for correcting a deviated septum.
