Dr. Chernoff Lectures at the 11th Annual International Symposium of Facial Plastic Surgery
Dr. Gregory Chernoff presents three lectures at the 11th Annual International Symposium of Facial Plastic Surgery held May 27-31 in New York City, NY.
- “The Aging Face: Non-Surgical Volumization vs. Surgical Correction”
- Investigational Research: “Adult Derived Stem Cells in Regenerative and Cosmetic Medicine ”
- “The Beautiful Cell – Facial Plastic Surgery at the Cellular Level”
“The Aging Face: Non-Surgical Volumization vs. Surgical Correction”
During “The Aging Face Presentation”, Dr. Chernoff describes the aging process as loss of fat, loss of skin elasticity, and gravitational changes. The discussion of his talk centered on which treatment or combination of treatments is optimal for patients.
Dr. Chernoff discusses that his best results are achieved by analyzing the uniqueness of each patient and then, developing individualized combinations specific for each patient. He described different combinations of dermal fillers, facial implants, autologous fat injections, and surgical techniques to achieve optimal results.
In the end, Dr. Chernoff recommends that during the patient consultation, the issues that concern the patient the most are identified and options are given to the patient. Dr. Chernoff will often suggest a systemic multi-modality approach with elevation and volumization to achieve positional restoration and give patients a natural and rejuvenated face.
Investigational Research: “Adult Derived Stem Cells inRegenerative and Cosmetic Medicine”
In the next presentation, Dr. Chernoff’s lecture focused on the investigational research and data he has developed through his participation in the California Cell Surgical Network. The conference attendees were excited to learn about the new investigational developments in regenerative medicine.
“The Beautiful Cell – Facial Plastic Surgery at the Cellular Level”
For his final presentation, Dr. Chernoff discussed the different types of cellular medicine including the importance that fibroblasts and growth factors have in wound healing, scar therapy, and overall skin rejuvenation.
