The UltraLight™ Peel
Developed by Dr. Chernoff, the Ultralight™ Peel is also sweeping the country. Utilizing the carbon dioxide laser in what is known as sub-threshold power settings, Dr. Chernoff can perform a very superficial exfoliation on the skin and yield a dramatic result as it relates to softening your appearance.
Performed under a twilight anesthetic, patients usually describe not feeling anything during the treatment. When the patient awakens, they are wearing a mummy-like dressing, which stays on overnight. When removed the next day, the patient keeps the skin clean utilizing a special spritzer spray and laser gel developed by Dr. Chernoff. Over the course of the next three to four days, a light fluffing of sun damaged, aged skin will then be fluffed. By day four to five, after the Ultralightô Peel, makeup can be applied. Slight pinkness lasts for one to two weeks.
