Known to most as the Cooltouch laser, this is truly one of the first anti-aging therapies available to patients. This is the first laser that actually treats the skin from the inside out. The utilization of the laser also involves the enrollment of a patient in an anti-aging and wellness program. With each treatment of the Cooltouch laser, more stimulation of the body's own collagen repair system is created. Each treatment of the Cooltouch laser causes stimulation of small blood vessels as well as cells called fibroblasts to creat new collagen. What patients love the most about this treatment is that no needles are required. A small amount of numbing cream is placed on the area prior to treatment. Each treatment takes about 10 minutes. Patients have slight redness in the treatment area immediately following treatment. Makeup is applied to the patient immediately after treatment. Typically it requires four to six Cooltouch treatments spaced four to six weeks apart to take a patient to the threshold whereby the maximum softening is reached.
